A world first: collectible indexes you can trade

Trade the market,
not the card.

For the first time, an entire collectible category has one live price, and you can take a position on it. Graded Pokémon first, priced from real on-chain sales. Binder brings a new class of RWA to Robinhood Chain.

01 · The problem

Every card has a price. The market never did.

A PSA 10 Base Set Charizard has a price. Several, in fact, updated daily and argued over in public. Graded Pokémon has none. Neither does vintage Magic or NBA rookies. The category is where collectors think, argue and put their money, and it was the one thing nobody could take a position on.

There has never been a central registry or clearing house for this market.

02 · The world premiere

Indexed for years. Tradable for the first time.

Indexes on trading cards have been published for years. Not one of them could be traded. Binder is the first tradable index on physical collectibles, priced from on-chain sales: a single live number for an entire category, that you can go long or short.

1991

The slab. PSA starts grading cards. Condition becomes a number, and a card becomes an asset with a price.

1999

Base Set. Pokémon cards reach the US. The modern trading-card market, and its secondary market, begin.

2020

The index. Card Ladder publishes the first indexes of the card market, computed from every public sale. Data only.

2023

On-chain. Courtyard vaults graded cards and mints each one as a token. A card changes hands without moving.

2026

Trade the index. For the first time, the whole category has a price you can take a position on.

03 · The advantage

Picking the card is the hard part.

Diversified by construction

You don't have to pick the winner.

In 2026 single cards swung from −60% to +400% in months while the market as a whole rose. An index is the whole market's move, not one card's.

Nothing physical

Nothing to ship, grade, insure or store.

No slab, no grading queue, no vault fee, no counterfeit. Just the price.

Two-sided

Both directions, for the first time.

Collectible markets fall too: blue-chip sports cards −23% in 2022, luxury watches more than 35% below their 2022 peak, CS2 skins −$2B in 48 hours. Until now you could only watch.

The cards are picked for you

You don't research a card. The index already did.

Take a position on the whole category and skip the research, the guesswork and the risk of choosing the wrong card.

  1. 01Selected by rules, not by fame.Only cards that actually trade, across enough buyers and sellers, at every grade that matters.
  2. 02Weighted so no card dominates. One expensive card cannot move the whole index on its own.
  3. 03Reviewed on a schedule. The composition is checked and adjusted at fixed intervals, never on a whim.

40+ categories and about 376,000 vaulted items are on the tape today. Each one clears the same gate to become an index. No special cases.

04 · The indexes

The market everyone watched and nobody could trade.

The card market has been indexed since 2004: one index per category, computed from graded sales across 20+ marketplaces. Here it is, live. None of it is tradable. That gap is the product.

05 · The DEX Coming soon

Trade the index. Long or short, up to 10×.

A perpetual futures market on the index. No expiry, no market hours, settled against the index price. Go long if you think the market rises, short if you think it falls. The most you can lose is the margin you put on the position.

LONG · SHORTBoth directionsFor the first time, you can be short an entire collectible category.
10×Leverage at launchA 2% move in the index is a 20% move on your margin. Planned cap: 10×.
±5%Anchored to the indexThe traded price cannot drift more than about 5% from the index. What you trade is the category's price.

Anchored, not free-floating

The price you trade is the category's price.

The traded price is clamped inside a band of about 5% around the index, and funding pulls it back toward the centre. No speculative decoupling: the index on the DEX is the index, within a few percent, at every moment.
